Sal Feldman

Hi. I'm Sal Feldman, a high school student currently living in Miami, Florida.

I started American Dreammakers because of my personal connections to finding a new path to reach dreams through immigration to the United States. I hope to provide you with the same opportunity my family had been given many years ago - to become part of the greatest country in the world.

My maternal family immigrated from Cuba over sixty years ago at the time of the rise of dictator Fidel Castro. My abuela, who was only thirteen at the time, escaped Cuba to New York City with nothing but the clothing she had been wearing. She would live with her older brother for almost five years, only able to speak and write to her parents under government supervision, while they remained in Cuba. Fortunately, they too were able to escape on a boat as they reached Miami to start anew.

My paternal family immigrated from Ukraine, hoping to seek a better life in the United States. They were one of the millions of families who immigrated through Ellis Island, creating a new life in New York for over forty years, eventually moving to Miami.

Whatever challenges you may have faced to make your way to the United States, please contact me so I can help you realize the American Dream!
